The start-up ChargeHorizons, founded in 2021, brings transparency into the travel industry. With its product ChargeHolidays, the company offers an online platform and smartphone app for planning and booking sustainable trips. Accommodations are presented through individual profiles and can visibly demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. Our tool incorporates features like CO2 calculation, finding e-charging stations, and sharing sustainable travel tips within the community, aiming to make sustainable travel the most appealing and convenient choice for both private and business travelers.
Furthermore, ChargeHorizons actively participates in education. In addition to delivering presentations and conducting workshops at universities, schools, and businesses, our Sustainable Travel Detective Club gamifies the learning experience about sustainable, culturally conscious travel.
To ensure that sustainability and entrepreneurial independence are also anchored in the company's legal structure from the very beginning, the start-up was founded in steward ownership. The Purpose Foundation holds the veto share and thus upholds steward-ownership principles.
