forward Planung und Forschung has existed since 2022 as a spin-off of Urban Catalyst GmbH. Our team combines the professional competence of currently nine experts from the fields of architecture, urban planning, urban design, landscape architecture and cultural studies. We have networks, knowledge and extensive experience in the design and implementation of planning processes, cooperative urban development and research into a wide range of urban development topics.
With our work, we contribute to shaping social and spatial change processes in a good, just and sustainable way. We understand spatial planning and transformation as a process in which dialogue with diverse actors is crucial. We create a framework for negotiating different interests and highlight their consequences for spatial development. We create strong visions and develop solutions for the future-oriented development of neighbourhoods, cities and regions that can be implemented quickly and with majority support.
We enable people to see spaces of opportunity and to take action now with the future in mind.
We have chosen to be a steward-owned company in which surpluses are reinvested exclusively in the company's purpose and in its employees. We are convinced that the company structure has a significant impact on the internal decision-making structures and the sense of responsibility of each individual.
