Goldeimer was founded in 2014 in Hamburg as a non-profit GmbH and has been part of the Viva con Agua family ever since. With a lot of creativity, a sense of humor and a large portion of courage, the social enterprise sells products such as compost toilets, toilet paper and soap, provides compost toilets at music festivals and offers educational workshops on the topic of sanitation.
Goldeimer is committed to providing safely managed and sustainable sanitation for all. The sale of Goldeimer products supports non-profit educational work, awareness campaigns and sanitation projects around the world. The goal is to make sanitation accessible worldwide and to provide sustainable alternatives. Since 2022, Goldeimer has been a steward-owned company. This ensures Goldeimer's independence, value orientation and self-determination are permanently and legally binding. The Purpose Foundation holds the veto share with one percent of the voting rights and thus permanently upholds the principles of steward-ownership.
